"A fire safety expert came to Beacon House and helped us upgrade our fire safety. We got new fire extinguishers and a special “Fire Stop” device for the stove! It hangs over the burners and if flames hit it, it explodes and dumps foam onto the fire automatically. We also got special EXIT signs that stay lit if the power goes off and even have emergency lights that go on so that people can find their way in a fire and smoke.
